Joos Ockels, the wife of Wubbo Ockels (the first Dutch astronaut) has been committed to keeping his mission for sustainability alive since his death (2014); after all, we are all 'astronauts of spaceship Earth'.

Joos lives in Amsterdam and is still actively involved in the Grandparents for the Climate, De Groene Grachten and St.Happy Energy. In recent years also in the movement PR:OUD, proud of age.

Since 1990 she has been involved as a volunteer archive at Space Expo in Noordwijk.
